Savoury biscuits


Intro:

Rainy season is so beautiful.Its so nice to see the garden turn completely green . This is a season of food cravings ,some fried,some spicy and hot.These savoury biscuits are low fat ,easy to prepare and tastes so good.


Savoury biscuits

 Ingredients:

Refined flour 1 cup
Butter 1/3 cup
 Salt 1 teaspoon
Pepper powder 1 teaspoon
Jeera (cumin) 1/2 teaspoon
Dry mint leaves ,crushed 1 teaspoon( optional)
Milk few teaspoons
Makes 18-20 biscuits

Recipe:

Mix  salt,pepper powder,cumin,dry mint leaves and refined flour. Add butter and mix to resemble fine breadcrumbs. Add few teaspoons of milk to form a  semi soft dough . Wrap it in a cling film.Refrigerate for 2 hours. Take it out of the refrigerator and remove the cling film. Roll it over a greased surface until 1/2  inch thick. Cut into squares.  Arrange these biscuits in a baking tray. Bake it in a pre heated oven for 8-10 minutes. The biscuits will be soft when taken out of the oven. Once cool, they will be crisp.

Note: Allow the dough to be in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.As the butter in the dough hardens while in refrigerator, rolling process will be easy.

P.s:- The biscuits should be cooled completely  before consuming,else they will be soft and may not taste well.
